30 Day Anime Challenge: Favorite attack someone used in an anime

Man do I ever suck at keeping up with this 30 Day Challenge! I swear wordpress does not want me to finish this thing, but I shall prevail!

Anywho, so today’s topic is what is my favorite attack I have ever seen someone use in an anime and like the last day of the challenge, this one proved to be a little hard for me to narrow down because I don’t watch that style of anime.

I cannot use anyone from Higurashi because the attacks are not named, they are just swinging a weapons and that is pretty much the same in every other anime I watch.

Therefore I had to go a little goofy with this situation and decided to literally go with an ‘attack’. So without a doubt my favorite attack I have ever seen in an anime is …

That’s right I have chosen the super effective, and highly annoying attack, ‘Sing’ as used by Jigglypuff in the original Pokemon anime.

As soon as Jigglypuff showed up in the anime I knew it was going to be hilarious and I really looked forward to any time this adorable little puff appeared.

I know it is really not a ‘serious’ attack like the ones most people are likely using for this portion of the challenge but hey I am not a super serious person and I just don’t watch the animes with the crazy named attacks. I find those attacks to be just way too ridiculous and overly designed.

Simple is best in my opinion and nothing is quite as simple as an adorable pink puff singing people too sleep. Sooo cute!

Next up find out which moment in an anime really shocked me … oh this is going to be easy.

Bad Blogger is Bad – and Brief Update

oij53AbI am the worst blogger ever! I have been so busy with school that I have been neglecting my tales of nerd dom!

BAH!

I will be posting another blog today but first I will do a brief life update!

Okay, so first off I FINALLY decided on my big cosplay for Anime North 2014! This year was brutally hard deciding since I have not been watching a lot of Anime and I tend to read Manga that has very, not cosplay fun clothing.index

For awhile I was actually thinking about cosplaying a Twi’lek from Star Wars and investing in a pair of Lekku (the species head tails) but I realized that would be too expensive.

Anywho, after a LOT of thinking and searching I finally settled on the decision of cosplaying as a Scholar from Ragnarok Online!

The great thing about Ragnarok Online is that because it is an online game I can customize my character the way I want to. That includes the wig and random accessories. I have not decided on a wig yet but I am thinking about wearing elf ears as my accessory.

Team_Rocket_Grunts_artworkIn other news, Con-G is this coming weekend so you lovelies will be getting a con update about that with a LOT of pictures since I am doing a full page on the Con for my school newspaper.

This year I will actually be staying AT the con since it is Con-G’s last year so I will be attending a LOT of panels as well as the masquerade and speed dating.

For Con-G I will be cosplaying as a Team Rocket Grunt, though I will not have the proper boots or gloves and I intend on wearing tights cause it is DAMN COLD IN CANADA! I will also be wearing a black cat kigurumi!

Well that’s all for now but later on today I shall be talking about Geeky Speed Dating!

Geeky Etsy Shop – Burrito Princess

I love Perler beads! They are so much fun and a really cute way to make great geeky items. I own an entire tub of them but I have had little time to actually work with them yet (hoping to change that over the break).

Perler beads are particularly popular amongst Etsy sellers who use them to make some absolutely adorable products, such as the ones made by Burrito Princess.

I love to work with any craft items I can get my hands on, and I love to discover new things. Perler beads are by far my favorite thing to work with, and I’m always looking for new ways to ways to wear and display perler creations! I love music, concerts, video games (I grew up playing my mom’s Atari. Pitfall was my favorite game.), cats, and cute/nerdy/quirky/gorey things. I love making band necklaces as well.

Her items come in a variety of styles, though she has a particular fondness for Nintendo based games such as Legend of Zelda and Pokemon

She has a full 5 star listing and has received quite a few awesome reviews.

Great communication with the seller. Shipped in the time given. These will look great on my shoes for my geeky bachelorette party!

She only has a few negative reviews, most of which have to do with the picture frames having too small a frame and overly large pixel figures

Her prices really vary between item to item with the most expensive ones, being $16+ cake toppers.

As far as shipping prices it’s $3.82 for US buyers and $8.74 for everywhere else.

She also makes charm necklaces, primarily themed around band names and logos, books and movies. Price wise, they range between 16 and 13 dollars depending on the complexity of the product.
